#SummerSparks Day 2: Back Where I Come From

SummerSparks Day 2 2015Back Where I Come From
by: Tracey M. Cox

Today I thought I would get you thinking about your roots or where you live now. One of the top questions I get asked is, “Where do you get your ideas?”. I tell them all around me. I know this disappoints quite a few of them, but it is true. There are ideas all around us. It is our job to see them, to hear them, and to explore the possibilities each of them offer.

Start by looking around where you live. Does someone famous live there? Or are they from there? Has an important event taken place in your area? Does your town/city hold an annual event that is different? Some of these thing can lead to a great story starter or articles.

It doesn’t matter if you live in a big city or someplace rural, like me. There are interesting facts all over this great big world of ours. What’s in your neighborhood?

SPARK:

Go to Google and type in “Interesting facts of  (insert your town/city/county), (State)” and see where your adventure can take you.
