AVON – The Face Shop!

Hello all.

A lot of people say…

A new year…
A new you!

But I beg to differ! You are a beautiful just the way you are!

What I hope to do is give you the opportunity to highlight that beautiful and bring the shine up full-dial.

What better way than to start with the foundation of your make up? AVON has partnered up with a Korean beauty product call, The Faceshop. And to be totally honest, I am completely blown away with this line!

Let’s go back a few months…

In October I was looking for some higher quality foundation. Don’t get me wrong. I really like my normal AVON foundation, but it wasn’t giving me the “WOW” factor I was wanting. See, my son was getting married in November, and being Mother-Of-The-Groom, I wanted to look my part. Not to mention I was helping with the wedding… planning, decorating, food, and on and on. So I didn’t want to look like a hot mess. Hahahahahaha.

So I started looking around. *gasp* I know. I know. HOW DARE I?!? But I wanted the full coverage, stay on all day, I don’t care what you are doing, you look GOOD girl foundation that some of the other brands have.

That’s when AVON announced that they were pairing up with The FaceShop, a Korean makeup brand. *And a choir of angels SANG!*

You guessed it. I put my order in as soon as I could and…

AVON – Applicator/Blender

I don’t know about you, but I’ve noticed how some people’s make-up looks flawless. The beauty of it amazes me. I know most don’t actually DO their own make-up, but still… someone does!

Make Up Artists have all sorts of different tools they use to apply make-up to their models. One thing they use is an Applicator/Blender. Now these ARE NOT the blenders from the 80s! Do you remember those?!!!? You know, those little white triangle. UGH! They soaked up more product than they put on your face!

So here I am… AVON Lady… with a blender available. So I decided to give it a try. Check out my review video:

Skin So Soft Bath Oil & 100+ Uses

***MY NON-OFFICIAL AND NOT ENDORSED BY AVON POST!**

If there is any product that I think of when I think of AVON is it their Skin So Soft Bath Oil. How about you? And I’ve used it for more than just bath oil, but it’s a great moisturizer there of course.

So, what other uses can there be? Well here’s my not-so-official list. Let me know if you have found any other uses.

100+ USES FOR SKIN SO SOFT

• Mild insect repellent
• Removes paint from hands (better than turpentine)
• Removes chewing gum from hair, skin and most non-porous surfaces
• Wood cleaner and conditioner for cabinets and furniture
• Cleans ink off most vinyl painted surfaces
• Cleans paint brushes and keeps them looking like new
• HUMMINGBIRD FEEDERS: To deter bees – try rubbing SSS on the feeder surface
• It’s a fabric softener in the wash
• For DOG DRY SKIN: 1 Tablespoon of SSS per gallon of water and use as an after bath rinse, or spritz your dog’s coat once a week
• Horse hoof polisher without drying
• Put some on a small washcloth and leave in the car – keeps air fresh and clean
• Eye makeup remover
• Cleans ink off the skin
• Pour a little into your Feet Soaker, helps feet relax
• Removes glue and gum left from price tags and labels from glass, metals and most plastics.
• Removes crayon markings from appliances and most surfaces
• Removes “ring around the collar”
• Kills spiders
• FLEA REPELLANT: 1 1/2oz of SSS per gallon of water – sponge dip or spritz.
• Clean and moisturize all the vinyl in the automobile

• Use towelettes around window and doors – keep bugs out
• Oil lubricant for fitting pipe joints that won’t slip together
• Removes scuff marks from leather shoes
• Great insect repellent for your pet (As recommended in “Outdoor Life” and “Field and Stream”) Mix 5 parts water, 1 part SSS and mist on animals. Brushing is easier and coat will “gleam”
• BLACK FLY SPRAY: 1 cup SSS, 1/2 cup liquid detergent and 3 gallons of water
• Removes tree sap
• Cleans off tape marks left on the skin from bandages
• Kills ants
• Cleans and conditions leather
• Put SSS in one of the bottles you attach to your backyard hose and spray your entire backyard. Will cut down on ants and other creepy crawlies and flying bugs
• FLEA BATH: use after shampooing with a FLEA AND TICK SHAMPOO (your choice of brand)
• Prior to traveling, rub SSS on headlights and car grill – makes cleaning easier
• Rub hands with it before washing, hands are cleaner
• Helps remove lime and water deposits from fixtures, tile, shower doors and windows
• Great Furniture polish
• Horse muzzle, eye, and ear enhancer
• Massage oil
• Cleans ink off rubber stamps
• Removes candle wax from furniture, carpets, and clothing
• Removes tar spots from a car without damaging the paint
• Soothes light sunburn
• Use it on the air conditioner filter. Your incoming air will smell fresher and the filter will be easier to clean in the future
• Tar and asphalt removal on pads of animals feet
• Put 1-2 cap full in LIQUID SOAP and use it for shaving legs and underarms. Razor glides with no razor burn
• Spray on flowerbeds to keep deer from eating the blooms
• Tanning oil (PLEASE NOTE: NO SUNSCREEN/BLOCK!)
• Removes gum from carpets
• Relieves itchy skin due to dryness
• Rub on your hands before and after working with your pets and farm animals. It will remove the strong “odor”
• Takes fur and animal hair off of clothing
• Removes soap scum from shower doors, curtains, bathroom, and kitchen fixtures
• Mix in pet’s bath water for flea removal
• Cleans Mechanics Hands
• Original Scent works GREAT on Head Lice! Saturate head and keep it on for 15 minutes. These rinse under an OUTDOOR faucet. LICE ARE GONE! You will need to wash the hair a number of times to remove the oiliness, but lice are gone!
• After washing, spray on tires for a conditioner and shine

I sold AVON many moons ago, I decided to start selling again about six months ago.

WHY?

I know AVON is an established company. I know they are constantly redeveloping the products they have and bringing in new products to keep what they sell updated and fresh.

I also know that you can make good money with AVON if you work it. BUT if you don’t want to work it like a job, you can earn a great discount on your own personal products by being a representative.

HOW?

How did I get back into becoming a rep? I signed up online. I would have signed back under someone local, but didn’t know anyone who was into leadership. Good thing is, AVON rebranded themselves with leadership. You no longer have to be in the same vicinity to sign someone up. My mentor lives four states away from me!

WHAT?

What do I plan on doing with my AVON business?

I am going to enjoy my representative discounts. 🙂
I am trying to build my business primarily through online sales. You can buy from me even if you live on the opposite side of the states! Which I think is awesome.
I’m also going to build locally. I plan on keeping this small though. Something I can do in one day or less.

Happy 2019!

It’s the new year! That means a new chapter, a blank canvas, a new project, and so many adventures await! I always look forward to this day. I’ve been planning on how to redirect my blog to be more beneficial to my targeted audiences.

What does that mean for you? Hopefully, it will help you become more aware of the products I offer, as well as give you some insight on how to become better at what you do and also become more interactive with what I do.

• FRIDAY: LEFT HOOK CROCHET — Did you know I’m a fiber artist? I began my crochet journey in 2017 and now offer my products for sale. BUT I have a hook on what I do… I’m a lefty! My Left Hook Crochet posts will be dedicated to leftys with patterns, videos, and more.

So much to do for this year. I hope to be more interactive and can’t wait to see what you think of everything.
